You can repair a toilet or sink on your own but full renovations, shower and tub installations must be done by licensed contractor and require a permit.

Commercial awnings will require review by Miami-Dade County Fire. Submit with flame-spread certification and engineered drawings with wind-load calculations.
Electrical wall signs require a permit. Many non-electrical signs, banners, etc. can now be permitted through a Zoning Only permit.
Speak with a Planning & Zoning representative about where these are permitting. Increasing capacity may require additional restrooms or impact fees.

The Building Department does require a building permit but speak with a Planning & Zoning representative if you plan on painting a mural, sign or other graphic on your building or structure.
